Have you ever just wanted to throw on your sneakers and headphones and quiet the world around you with a sweat sesh? I mean the holidays can for sure get us all stressed out and in need of a little “therapy”. If you are like me all the fuss and spending, gets this mama frazzled. I want to make everyone happy and merry, but dang when do we fit time in for ourselves and our goals? So ladies, get those workouts in, even if you have to sneak away! I am gonna help you load up that playlist, so you can channel some girl power and go!
I love me some music, especially when I need to get out of my head and into some leggings. Hahaha ya right, you know I totally live in leggings! Here are some of the many tunes that just pump me up. I have compiled 9 awesome tracks that are GIRL POWER all the way! I will throw in 2 calm down songs and 2 cool down songs at the end of this post so you can get your chill on before going back to the craziness that sent you out seeking a little solitude.
1. Fight Song – Rachel Platten
Totally obvious choice, I mean what girl doesn’t sing this song while fist pumping? If you don’t check your pulse baby girl, you may need to set bigger goals!
2. Love Myself- Hailee Steinfeld
The chorus in this song says “gonna love myself” and “I love me” perfect for boosting a girl up! This is an amazing song to run to that tempo and beat just get me moving!
3. American Woman- Muddy Magnolias
*Warning this song has some swears, but if you can find a clean edit this jam is hot! It makes me channel Jennifer Love Hewitt’s remake of Peggy Lee’s I am Woman. Woooo Ladies, if you don’t know this song, look it up as well!
4. Incorruptible- Beckah Shae
This is my go to run song! It is on every run playlist I have, the tempo, the lyrics, and I mean who doesn’t love a good girl jam?!
5. Superhuman Au5 Remix- Juventa and Kelly Sweet
This song gives us that break we need every now and then, we don’t have to be super woman or super mom all the times ladies! We can still rock without expectations! There are plenty of times when we need others to support us.
6. All About That Bass (clean edit)- Meghan Trainor
I mean this song speaks for it self. You know you love it, even if you don’t want to admit it, you sing and shake that thing to this tune. Even skinny girls, because bass can be more than booty and hips! When I was teeny, I still rocked that big attitude and personality girl!
7. Fighter- Christina Aguilera
This is my go to angry song. I think about all the times friends and loved ones told me I couldn’t accomplish my dreams or weren’t there for me when I needed them. But guess what? I sweat that mess out and leave it on the pavement or at that bar. Sometimes, you get that extra rep or push from moments like these!
8. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun- Cyndi Lauper
Umm we all totally need to hear this song, I mean I feel all 90’s and jumping on my middle school bed singing at the top of my lungs. I may have done this
the other day in High School as well! It is good to be a girl!
9. Pumpin’ Blood (Jane Dozer Remix)
Because every now and then we need to feel freedom and just listen to what makes our blood pump and our heart race! This song pushes me so fast in my runs. I just listen and open myself up on that road!
