It’s Here, It’s Here!!!! It is time to start the #Fitfamily fun! I know my kids are so excited. They have IMG_2639been waiting for weeks to be the ones calling the shots and making their own Bosu workouts!

For the last four weeks, the Sweat Pink community teamed up with BOSU to show the world what it means to be #BOSUStrong. One thing that makes me BOSUStrong is my family because they inspire me everyday to put my health first and lead by example. And I hope to inspire them to fight for their goals and be healthy role models for their kids someday. Nothing means more to me than teaching them portion control and whole food diets, so they learn to nourish their bodies. I want to teach them to find ways to make activity a large part of their day. I also want to show them that setting big but obtainable goals will teach them positive self-esteem.

Cain, Cennady, Celeste (Bitty), and I love to go for walks and hikes together! We on week daycarleeh4s, we try to walk the trail. Some times me and my girls do yoga. We take advantage of the weekends by going on adventure at the parks and farmers markets together when the weather is beautiful! I introduced Cennady to volleyball  and love watching Cain playing football with his friends after school. Any time we go for a night run, Bitty amazes me! She is so serious about it and gives her all. A family that is active together, sticks together!


Our favorite #FitFamily BOSU workout is jump overs because we get to jump and bounce off the Bosu. And I am loving the BOSU Sport and the BOSU Sport-Kids DVD because it’s a great workout for my kid and has helped with their balance and creativity. I love that they have gotten so motivated! Since, my girls have little to no physical education at school now (1 day a week for my 1st grader, none for my middle schooler!), the challenge has them excited to try new movements and to get some exercise in everyday. We have to keep these kids motivated and give them plenty of chances to be passionate about health, however that looks to them. If we let them decide, maybe just maybe they will develop goals that will lead them to fit lives as adults! Gosh, I get so excited just thinking about it! Let’s amp them up and let all that energy they posses light a fire in us too!

  1. I’m so jealous that you get to play along with the Bosu challenge! When I was at my mom’s house I had one and loved inserting that into my workouts for core workouts and upping the challenge aspect.

    I’m sorry to hear that your 1st grader only gets PE 1 time a week and your middle schooler 0! That’s outrageous!!! I was lucky and had it all the way through high school, granted the 11th and 12th grade years were electives for me. But it was still fun to have the option.


    • I only had access to the Bosu at the gym! I have had it on my Christmas list for 2 years! I was thrilled to get to do this campaign! It really is one of my favorite tools!

      Isn’t it gross they can take P.E. away for a whole semester!?! My daughter won’t have it for months! Makes me so mad. You should see the food they feed them too! At my littles school All the food is 100% processed and not even made at their school! I was so shocked when I went to visit, I wonder where all the funding goes?!?

    • Right?!? P.E. a luxury, who would have guessed! It breaks my heart and makes me totally mad at the same time! You would think they would add more activities and less subjects that don’t matter in real life. Common core is a nightmare!
